This will cover both The T-Virus And traditional George A Romero Zombies.
The father of the Modern Zombie.

The Birth of the Modern Zombie 1968 Night of the living dead, by master of zombies George A Romero.
With a fan base of hundreds of millions, Zombie genre horror is by far as well known now as Vampire and Werewolves.
And its rules are just as well known.

The Zombie which derives form a form of Vodou. Was taken by George Romero in the sixties twisted turned and thus.
Has become the largest of all the main Horror Monster branches (Vampires/Werewolves/Zombies.) It has spawned Movies such as
28 Days later, remakes, The Video game series, House of the Dead, the most popular zombie video game is evidently Resident evil.
Also inspired some aspects of Doom, and Left 4 Dead and. Many Zombie films are filmed and recorded in either Canada or western Pennsylvania even video games (Left 4 Dead, and others.) take place in Pennsylvania, this seen by the use of the Allegheny national park, and the turnpike (there are many turn pikes but PA's is by far the most famed.) As well as George A Romero has been used western PA as well.
Zombies started out as slow rotting flesh eaters, hungering for brains now they can run jump break in and even in some aspects carry weapons.
The Modern Zombie is reflected in real life with Zombie Walks (The largest of which is held near or within Pittsburgh.)

Now We will move on to the T-Virus Zombie.

The T-Virus zombie is most certainly an example of and homage to Romero's zombie, slow moving but none the less frightening and disturbing.
The T-Virus escaped in the Arkley Mountain Umbrella facility. Thus causing the first recorded Zombie outbreak. Followed by the massive Zombie outbreak in nearby Raccoon city. The zombie is a basic function revived corpse with the basic instincts that is in all mammal minds, kill feed kill.
Thus the 'plauge' Spread slowly but quickly through a breech in the hive which was underground the city through swearer rats as well as the activation of the G-Virus within the hive (Which will be explained in the Bio-Weapon Area later.) The basics of zombie history and rules are simple, shot them in the head or crush them with something large. or blow them to pieces.
